You might not know the environmental truth about paper packaging… (The truth is not so simple)

1. What Makes Paper Stand Out?

With the “Express Delivery Regulations” strengthening green packaging requirements, food businesses are increasingly seeking eco-friendly packaging. As a custom disposable foodware expert, Guangzhou Gorlando has noticed more clients asking: Is paper utensil packaging really more eco-friendly than plastic? The answer lies in the full lifecycle from raw materials to disposal.

2. Paper vs. Plastic: 4 Key Comparisons

3. Top 3 Questions from Businesses

Q1: Is paper packaging more expensive?

Initial cost is ~10% higher, but total benefits excel:

• Policy support: Subsidies for green packaging compliance
• Brand value: 78% consumers pay 5% more for eco-options
• Disposal saving: Plastic waste fees are 3x higher

Q2: Is paper packaging water-sensitive and fragile?

Gorlando’s food-grade waterproof coating solves this:

• Water resistance: Withstands 48-hour soaking
• Durability: 3-layer structure = 5-layer plastic strength

Q3: Is the recycling system reliable?

Our closed-loop system:

1. Merchants collect used packaging
2. Partner stations pick up regularly (Zhejiang University “Box Recycling” model)
3. Recycled into liner boards, cutting raw material cost by 20%

4. Eco-Friendly Is Not Optional, But Essential

While plastic containers take centuries to decompose, Gorlando’s paper packaging completes the “grow-use-recycle” cycle. A milk tea chain reduced plastic use by 12 tons/year with our paper packaging, boosting repeat purchases by 15%.

Tip: Look for “dual-certification” – food contact safety + recyclability (Gorlando provides test reports for all products).
